Rev. Jesse Jackson visits AppTV's 'Religion in Life' to talk morality, politics and faith

During a visit to Appalachian State University on Oct. 18, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. sat down for an interview with Dr. Ozzie Ostwalt, host of AppTV’s “Religion in Life.” Their conversation covered the role of religion and morality in the fight for civil rights, and Jackson shared insights gained from a lifetime focused on advancing equality and justice in America.

New course brings together journalism, the Athletics Department, and AppTV

Dr. Gregory Perreault, an associate professor in Appalachian State University’s Department of Communication, launched a new interdisciplinary sports reporting class in spring 2017. The course, Reporting for Sports Media, holds monthly press conferences with the Athletics Department and feeds stories and video content to the “The A Game,” a weekly sports show produced on the university’s student-run AppTV.
